Eating out is one of Bahrain’s favourite pastimes which over the years has given rise to a wealth of good restaurants.

New offerings are constantly in development, helping to keep the island’s dining scene vivacious and ever changing. So, whether you’re looking for something quick and casual or chic and unique, from fast food to fine dining, there’s no doubt you’ll find some something to suit your appetite

Adliya

This is an area packed with dining and entertainment variety. From the expansive Block 338 area, home to venues such as Florence, La Vinoteca Barcelona and the ever-popular Jim’s, to the back streets, there is something to suit every taste. For a unique steakhouse experience, visit Brazil Rodizio Grill or, alternatively, head down the road to Bambu, which offers a variety of freshly prepared Asian fare.

Firm favourites also include Casa Mexicana Restaurant, Caesars, Café Al Bindaira, Upstairs Downstairs and the popular Indian, Lanterns Restaurant, which has branches around the island and is renowned for its buffet. New venues pop up all the time, so it’s a pleasure to roam the streets and check out what’s on offer.

Amwaj Islands

The most popular dining area is The Lagoon which sees regular new launches alongside such favourites such as Lilac, Burger Lounge, Johnny Rockets, Pizza Express and Mei n Yu. A selection of new venues is under development at Amwaj Marina which are due to open shortly.

Budaiya & Saar

New outlets continue to head to the Budaiya Highway lending the area a variety of cuisines such as Ya Salam from Al Abraaj. Heading into Saar you will find Lebanese fare of Fakhruddin, traditional Bahraini at Villa Mamas and Lumee, which offers delicious street-style food, at Saar Mall.

Juffair

Juffair’s eclectic selection of eating-out venues makes it a must visit destination. Asian eateries, including Sumo Sushi & BentoNUASIA, Magic Wok and Kabuki sit confidently alongside the likes of Fuddruckers, Nando’s, Mooyah Bugers, Fries & Shakes, casual Italian dining options such as Papa John’s and Romano's Macaroni Grill and even the healthy newcomer Eat to Fit.

Heading into wider Juffair, you’ll find American home cooking at Ric’s Kountry Kitchen, Irish flavour at Bennigan’s and a taste of Europe at Cucina Italiana. And looking out over the water on Al Fateh Corniche, Coral Bay is home popular Italian La Taverna Sul Mare.

Seef

This bustling and cosmopolitan area features some of the swankiest restaurants outside of Adliya. From Japanese stalwart Bushido to The Yellow Chilli’s Indian preparations and Nino’s Italian offerings, there’s a lot going on. Le Chocolat, Elevation Burger and Brasa De Brazil are also nearby.
