Mahonia, Bahrain’s first fine dining degustation restaurant, is excited to announce a revised concept that offers guests ever-changing menus. This novel concept, focusing on a 7-course tasting menu, à la carte and Gastronomic Lounge bites menu, ensures that discerning gastronomes can visit time and time again and still be surprised.
This October, Mahonia also introduces its latest seasonal menu, inspired by the Kingdom of Bahrain. Offering what’s fresh and in-season, both locally and abroad, guests will experience an intimate culinary discovery that draws from the island’s rich heritage, culture, local produce and ingredients.
Gourmet lovers can try deliciously refined dishes, such as Mother of Pearl, a white gazpacho sphere with sea herbs, caviar and sand made from miso oil, and the Salted Hamour Baradade with hazelnut, lemon and dill. With each element on the plate created to perfection, these unexpected flavour combinations expand the culinary boundaries and tantalise diners’ palates.
Following the success of earlier grape and gastro bites tasting events, PAIRED by Mahonia, returns on 22nd October to become a permanent monthly feature. Exceptional wines are presented from the Mahonia cellar and complemented with gastronomic lounge bites to match. This two-hour tasting experience, held in the lounge, focuses on one region, grape or house, and engages guests to ask questions and take home useful and knowledgeable facts. A monthly paired full dining experience will also be launching soon.
